Do you find Isla Mujeres too hot at times?

The Isla Mujeres weather is perfect in the winter. There is however, a noticeable drop in bookings for our Isla Mujeres rental homes in the summer months, as it tends to get rather too hot at times, at least for some people. We have bookings right through the summer months, often for families, during the school holidays.

Many retirees and nomadic workers have immigrated to Isla Mujeres and now live permanently on Isla Mujeres. For those who are living here who do find it rather too hot in the summer and would like a break from it, one great place to getaway from the heat and still be by the sea and feel secure is Progresso. It comes within the state of Yucatán, which is all peaceful; the police do their job, and do it very well. Cancun could be like this too but there isn't the will and there is too much corruption. Many businesses have left Cancun and moved to Valladolid and Merida. The whole of Yucatán is peaceful and Quintana Roo is not.
