Why do people flock to Isla Mujeres in the winter

People come to Isla Mujeres in the winter for different reasons, the obvious one is to be able to relax in the sun, go out in the evening just in shorts and a T shirt, rarely needing a sweater. On a cold day in the winter, you may need a sweater in the evening, but most people never unpack their sweaters during their holiday. Local people complain when temperature drops on a "very cold" day to 19/20 Celsius, temperatures that people in the States could only dream of.

There is however a different reason many people come to Isla Mujeres in the winter, it is because they are in serious pain in the winter.
